Västervik Municipality – Recruitment of Head of Public Works
When Västervik Municipality was faced with the need to recruit a new Head of Public Works, it was important to find a person with a strategic overview and strong leadership – a key role with responsibility for driving sustainable community development and coordinating everything from urban architecture to development issues.
The role involves leading the Spatial Planning Unit with approximately 32 employees and being part of the Municipal Executive Board’s management team. With responsibility for strategy, personnel, finance and collaboration with both politicians and external stakeholders, an experienced leader with a deep understanding of community planning in a politically controlled organization is required.
