Tielman Group is a global manufacturer of paper-based baking tins and packaging solutions for the food industry, with headquarters and production in Linköping. The business is characterized by quality, sustainability and a strong family culture – but was facing an important development step.
The machinery needed to be strengthened through more systematic preventive maintenance, clearer standardized working methods and better monitoring of machine performance. At the same time, leadership with both technical weight and the ability to create structure and commitment in everyday life was required. The role of Operations and Development Manager was therefore a strategically important recruitment.
The role involves overall responsibility for the engineering department and machine performance. It involves ensuring the right speeds and quality in production, driving investments and improvement projects, and developing long-term and proactive maintenance work. Equally important is to create clarity – in working methods, documentation and expectations.
The skills required are unusual in the region, which made the assignment particularly challenging.
