When Hasopor’s CEO Daniel Ellison signed on for a new assignment, the recruitment of a successor who could take over the baton and continue to develop the company began. The goal was to find a leader with both strategic height and operational presence – who can assume full responsibility for business, organization and results in a business where sustainability, innovation and social benefit are a natural part of everyday life.

Finding the right partner for the job was crucial. Daniel Ellison says the most important thing in choosing a recruitment partner was that they understood both what Hasopor wanted – and what they actually needed. “Given that Unik has ‘known us’ for a long time, this gives greater security and confidence to the selected candidates,” he says.

The CEO role at Hasopor is broad and business-oriented. It covers everything from sales and packaging to strengthening structures and leading a close-knit team through the next growth phase. The role is also a key position within the Foamit Group, where Hasopor is the Swedish operation in a Nordic group.

The recruitment process was both accurate and thorough – something Daniel appreciated. He emphasizes the importance of spending time on an accurate requirements profile and that recruiters need to understand not only what is written in the document, but also the unspoken: what future capabilities the candidate needs to have, and how they fit with the rest of the management team – both in the short and long term.

He describes the collaboration with Unik Resurs as structured, clear, safe and smooth. In this particular recruitment, there was also a particular need to identify candidates who, if necessary, could step into a larger role at short notice. Including this aspect in the assessment – without saying it to the candidate – was an important part, Daniel says, and something he thinks worked very well.

In November 2025, Olle Svensk took over as the new CEO and Country Manager for Sweden. With international experience from Electrolux and Embellence Group, among others, he enters Hasopor with a strong business drive and clear overall understanding.
